Kendall Road flooring embraces all that reclaimed boards have to offer. A hand selected grade that features color variation and a natural texture from original saw marks.
When we sand the boards, we ensure a smooth finish while leaving the original marks left by time. All barn board products will have nail holes, color variation, and natural sound checking.
Our Kendall Road flooring is named for the location of the Bingham Farm and original sawmill from 1946.

We will send multiple pieces of each product to give a full representation of the grade and specie. Together, these pieces rep- resent the grade, specie or product specified. Edges
Square
Square edge flooring brings a timeless charm and polished feel to any room. Its smooth, seamless surface creates a continuous flow that enhances the natural beauty of the wood. It’s also wonderfully low-maintenance — with no gaps between boards, there’s nowhere for dust or dirt to hide.
Micro-Beveled
Micro-beveled offers a subtle twist on classic beveled edges. Each plank features a gentle, shallow bevel that helps disguise minor imperfections, giving the floor a smooth, polished appearance. Compared to hand-scraped edges, micro-beveled flooring has a slightly more refined, less casual look, making it a perfect choice for spaces that balance elegance with understated charm.
Hand-Scraped
Hand-scraped edge flooring highlights the character of each plank with a distinctive beveled edge. Each plank features a deeper bevel than micro-beveled that helps give the floor a rustic appearance.
Texture
Planed Smooth
Smooth sanded flooring offers a timeless, clean look reminiscent of classic on-site hardwood floors. Each plank is perfectly leveled, creating a flat, even surface that feels seamless underfoot. This texture is ideal for spaces where a sleek, low-maintenance floor is desired, with no grooves or bevels to trap dust or dirt.
Saw Kerf
Kerf marks are the subtle notches left by the saw blade when the wood was first milled—but if your boards don’t already have them, we can add this texture ourselves to certain options. Paired with the naturally weathered surface, these marks give each plank a unique character and charm that modern techniques simply can’t reproduce, infusing any space with an authentic, historic warmth.
Wire Brushed
Wire-brushed flooring brings out the natural beauty of hardwood in a textured, rustic way. Using a firm wire brush, the process exposes the rich heartwood beneath the surface, creating subtle grooves that highlight the wood’s character. This technique works especially well with hardwoods like Oak and Hickory and pairs beautifully with a matte finish. The result is a gently distressed look that adds warmth and charm, making it a perfect fit for rustic-style interiors.
